Mark S. Vollrath PA-C Receives National Recognition as AAPA Distinguished Fellow

Distinguished Fellow Program salutes him for Going "Above and Beyond" In Service to Community and the Profession

(Alexandria, VA) -- Mark Vollrath from Mount Vernon, Washington, has been recognized as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He practices Orthopaedics at Northwest Orthopaedics Surgeons and has been a physician assistant (PA) for 25 years. He is employed by Northwest Orthopaedics and has worked with Dr. Kaarsten Lang, MD for the past eleven years. He also works with Drs' Stacia Smith, Kenneth Oates and Patrick Lyons.

Mark Vollrath earned the recognition due to his outstanding contributions to patient care and the profession during his years as a physician assistant (PA). He also demonstrated significant dedication and involvement in the community of Skagit County.

He is active in the teaching of EMTs and Paramedics for the Emergency Medical Services system and has been for many years. Mr. Vollrath is a Clinical Instructor for the School of Medicine Medex Program at the University of Washington and an award winning educator. He is completing his fifth term as a Pro-Tem Commissioner for the Medical Quality Assurance Commission.

Mr. Vollrath is currently on staff at Skagit Valley and Island hospitals. He is a graduate of the University of Washington Medex program.

All Distinguished Fellows of AAPA have demonstrated exceptional contributions to their communities and a commitment to all aspects of health care.
