Richard L. Gerlach, PA-C

Mr. Gerlach joined Northwest Orthopaedic Surgeons as a Physician Assistant in 2003. Prior to joining the group, Mr. Gerlach worked for 28 years as a Physician Assistant in both Family and Emergency Medicine settings.

Mr. Gerlach was born and raised in Oregon. He settled in Skagit County after serving as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy and being discharged at Whidbey Island. He graduated from the MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant program at the University of Washington in 1975. He received a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Eastern Washington University in 1982, and completed post-graduate training in Health Education at Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. Mr.Gerlach is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Mr. Gerlach and his wife have lived in Anacortes since 1984. They have three married children. He enjoys spending time with his family, working with a special needs group at his church and volunteering for Special Olympics activities.
